Lowther house bed & breakfast is a gem! The sound of the creek and local wildlife, especially the owls. I loved having a full yorkshire breakfast in the beautiful garden, surrounded by wildflowers that attract so much life. The hosts were kind, offering a warm welcome with a sandwich and drink upon arrival.

This beautiful hotel was really perfectly clean. The staff was superfriendly and excellent on arrival and throughout the stay. The room was immaculate and luxurious, offered an electric kettle, central heating and television. The food was excellent and there were lots of dishes in the menu. The location was secluded, near the lovely gardens, Whitby trains and the centre of Pickering. It also was by the Beck & steam railway.

Room heating struggled to keep up with chilly outside temps, leaving it cold at night, while single glazing didn't help. Cleanliness could use attention as there were stains on the toilet seat and cobwebs in the ceiling lights. The wet room design was awkward and not user-friendly for all guests, discouraging its use for some. There's a notable absence of sugar at breakfast that went unaddressed.

Cozy retreat with a view
Just spent 2 nights here, and it was amazing! Super comfy beds gave us the best sleep ever. The vibe was really chill, ideal for escaping the hustle and bustle. The hosts were so cute. The only thing was we'd have loved a little more choice for dinner, but breakfast was yum! Can't wait to come back!

A good stay with enchanting surroundings and cute hosts. The gardens were beautiful, and the delicious breakfast was a standout highlight. Room comfort was impacted by some issues with heating, and the bathroom layout left something to be desired. There was a noticeable lack of sugar at breakfast, which could have enhanced the morning experience.
